Donald John Scuris Brown

From the Calgary Herald: Don passed away peacefully at the Foothills General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on April 11, 2013 at the age of 57 years. Don is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda (LeClair), daughter Sabrina (Chris) Mackay, son Neil, and special daughters Stephanie (Paul) Lynn and Andrea Black who came to live with him and Linda in 1996. Missing Grampa dearly will be Kaitlyn, Jacob, Connor, Gabriel, Shaine, and Darius. He will also be missed by his mother-in-law Carol and sister-in-law Michelle (Kevin). Don will also be sadly missed by his brothers, Steve (Vivian) and Jim (Rose), and nephew and nieces, Darrell (Sara), Kirsten (Byron), and Heather (Ryan) as well as great-nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his sister Judy (1996), his father Jack (1997), and mother Violet (2004). Don was born in Montreal in 1956 and grew up in Two Mountains, Quebec. He moved to Calgary in 1974. Don enjoyed playing pool with his friends and family. Undoubtedly, Don's real passion in life was his family; spending weekends and summer vacations in the family camper watching his kids have fun and grow into the wonderful young adults that they are today. A Celebration of Life will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), Calgary on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Canadian Diabetes Association, or The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.
