Week #4 - What Pounding Rain?
28-09-2003

The weather predictions were gloomy. On Thursday, they were predicting pounding rain for Saturday. As usual, 'they' were wrong. Completely wrong, The weather was outstanding and except for a very strong wind the day could not be better. Week four brought out yet another rookie. Terry (I will get his last name soon), joined the league and promised he would be back. He had not played for  20 years but he looked like he was getting back in it. Brendan Brooks also made his season debut. We did not have a spare on either team because of injuries and a competing golf tournament. Week 5 is looking like we may break an attendance record. That is if Mike Canuel makes it back and Stephane's arm gets better. There is also rumour that an ex (now defunct) Sunday leaguer is planning an entry. If so, we would be 5 for 5 in rookies. Oh Yeah, the game result 13 to 7 for the red team. Mark Thivierge opened the scoring with a touchdown (thrown by yours truly) and John Griffin got the extra point. They added a touchdown on an Earl MacDonald interception and lateral to John Griffin for the 13 point lead. The Red team finally scored in the fourth quarter to make it look close.
