Annual Hot Dog Tournament History

The
Annual Hot Dog golf tournament is a long standing tradition. It has been held every year to celebrate the summer break or Canadair plant shutdown. It always falls on the first Tuesday of the break (this year, July 18th). It is called the 'hot dog' as the golfers traditionally returned to their favourite drinking hole (now the Tartan) to scoff a couple of hot dogs and down a couple of beer to celebrate the 'real' start of summer. Actually, this year Garold treated us to hamburgers instead of hot dogs. This tournament has been played on many different golf courses over the years, I will try and get a list from the historians. From St-Andrews to Saint-Eustache-sur-le-lac to Deux-Montagnes and this year (2006) to the Falcon in Hudson. I will follow up with more later but take a look at these score cards from 1968 and 1969.
