Spring Brunch
Sunday April 26
from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Veterans’ Hall at the Legion 141 Grand Moulin
Tickets will be sold at the door: $6.00 (adults), $3.00 (children 5 – 10), and
free for children under 5 years old.
There will be a delicious buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes,
beans, toast, coffee, tea and juice.
Bring family and friends to encourage a good cause.
Again this year, the Spring Brunch is a fundraiser to benefit La Chacuniere.
This association is endeavouring to raise funds and eventually purchase land to
build a home for
mentally challenged children in our community.

Lion’s Club GARAGE SALE
Saturday, May 23
The annual Lions’ Club Garage Sale will take place at the Horizon Club situated
at Central
Park on 13th Avenue on Saturday, May 23 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come early for
the best
bargains and the homemade sweets which sell fast at the indoor Bake Sale! Have
your lunch as
you shop. Lion Pat Glover’s gourmet cabbage rolls will be served in the
Clubhouse and may
also be purchased for take-out. The Lions will also be serving hot dogs,
homemade French
fries and soft drinks at the outdoor tent.
The Club would appreciate any items you wish to donate and will gladly pick them
up. Please
call Lion Art Glover at 473-2503 or Lion Dave Byers at 472-7054.You may also
rent your own
table for $10.00 by calling Lions Owen and Nancy Ryder at 974-4167. While doing
your
spring-cleaning, remember to donate your second-hand goods to the Lions’ Club
rather
than discarding them. Remember: “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!”
Spread the
word and contribute to a worthy cause. Rain or shine, the sale is on!

October 17 & 18
Back by popular demand! The Deux-Montagnes Lions’ Club will be holding the Fall
Book Fair
once again in the Veteran’s Hall at the Legion,
141 Grand Moulin on the weekend of October 17 & 18.
From now to October, please drop off your
books (French & English) at the Maison des
Citoyens, 202 Henri-Dunant below the Library,
from Monday to Friday between 9:00 to 11:00
am and 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Call first at
450-473-7450 to make sure someone is there
to open the door.
