Drive from Temecula to La Quinta on the Pines to Palms Highway over the San Jacinto Mountains. (72 miles).

Today promises to make up for yesterday. The skies are clear and they are calling for clear skies for the next 5 days with some high in the 80's. Get out the sunscreen and play proper golf.

Update: This was an ALMOST perfect day of golf. Why almost? When we got to Trilogy, the golf course had made a mistake with our booking and there was only a reservation for one. Poor Ron would have to sit in the bar by himself. No. Thankfully there were 2 no shows and everything was ironed out quickly. So quickly, that we had to tee-off an hour early without breakfast or lunch. We played with Jeff from Sydney Australia and Doug from Louisville Kentucky. The course was in incredible shape. The scores do not reflect how good the conditions were. It looks like it will be a great 5 days in the desert.

The drive from Temecula was quite something.
