Round Six - PGA West Stadium, La Quinta, CA
Scorecards

8:30 Tee-off at PGA West Stadium - This month's Golf Digest rated the Stadium as the 4 toughest course to play in the USA. It said Pete Dye designed this course to play with the minds of the pros ... and won. This should be a doozy. Weather is great once again.

Well, Pete Dye won this one, BIG TIME!. My worst score in the last 25 years. Actually I don't remember ever shooting 103. I will describe this course. Take any course we regularly play. Remove half of the landing area we have normally. Replace it with either water or gigantic bunkers. Add 500 yards. Cut the greens until you don't see grass and finally put a deep bunker everywhere you would try a bump and run shot. That's PGA West Stadium. We could have replayed it for $49, but that would have been like having the ambulance run over you after being hit by a car.

I won't ruin the picture below with inset pictures. This is a view from the 7th hole looking at the green at the left. On the right is the tee for the 223 yard par 3, and that's not from the back tees.
