Annual Tartan Pub Hot Dog Golf Results 17-07-2002
On Tuesday July 16th, 30 golfers set out on the Patriote to mark the traditional first Tuesday of the Bombardier 'shutdown' golf tournament. The format is randomly drawn pairs total score. First place went to the team of Kevin Giles (77) and Garold Nixon (87) for a combined 164. Second went to yours truly (Paul) with the low round of the day 76 combined with Ron Potter's 97 for a second place 173. Most honest golfers Clary Potter and Jim Gibson took the booby prize with a 219.
Honourable mention goes to the other 77 shot by Mike McKeown who drew a higher score as a partner. Shot of the day - Hole 1 - Ron Rose after two near whiffs, a 210 yard 4 iron into the cup for a birdie.
